Although this MN deer hunting season was rather mild temperature wise, the mornings were crisp and my feet stayed warm. The boots were a bit bulkier than what I was previously used to, but not too clumsy. After this hunting season I started a new job installing satelite dishes and I have been wearing these boots on really cold days to work. This last week I was on a roof in -15 weather and I never even thought about my feet. My toes were not numb, or even the least bit cold, although the rest of me was freezing! I have made these my work boots and with my next check I will be buying another pair for this year's coming hunting seasons.

I really liked the way the boots looked and the sole was aggressive. However, with 1000 gr of insulation, i expected them to keep my feet very warm, which they did not. These boots are light weight and seem good for walking around, they were good up and down the ridges deer hunting. but not warm for sitting.

After breaking the boots in for two days, the fit and feel was very comfortable. They held up very well during a January 2011 hunt through rugged mountains (jagged rocks, fallen timber, thick brush, and even thorn bushes), snow, mud, and water. My feet were dry at the end of each day, and the snug fit of the boots kept my socks from slipping and bunching. I ordered the boots in my exact foot size, and the fit was great; no aches or blister as a result of walking and climbing. Another positive thing about these boots is they are not overly bulky; so I was able walk, climb, and run with confidence and surefootedness. The 1,000-gram Thinsulate Ultra Insulation kept my feet harm in the cold weather (early morning temperatures were in the lower teens) so long as I was moving; when I stood still for more than 30 minutes I'd begin to feel my toes getting cold. Hope these boots work as well for you as they did for me.

When these arrived, I picked up the box to bring it in, and I thought, no, it's not the shoes; it's too light, but it was them. They're light as a feather. I bought them for my son for Christmas, and he immediately put them on to wear home. Today he told me they're the most comfortable shoes he owns. He's an outdoorsman and puts his shoes to the test.

The boots are very well constructed. They felt great when I put them on. I would recommend that if you order these get them 1 size bigger, they seem to run a little small and narrow compared to my other hunting boots.
