Most women's boots start off as men's boots: they are simply built on a smaller version of a men's last. The LadyHawk is different. Irish Setter developed a last that is shaped and detailed to provide a superior fit for women. From a lower volume heel cap, to adjusted arch support, to a more accommodating collar, every detail in these boots is designed to provide higher performance.
About Irish Setter
Known as the first boots specifically crafted for the outdoors, the Red Wing Shoes "outing" line was released in 1920. Finding it to be both popular and successful, the company decided to expand with the Irish Setter brand of footwear. Seeking out only the best materials, Irish Setter upholds the tradition of all-day comfort and superior fit. To maintain this level of quality, it keeps up with the most current construction methods and technologies. Many of the boots include features such as Gore-Tex waterproof breathable membranes, Thinsulate, ScentBan, SnakeGuard or Aerogel. Irish Setter boots never fail to perform, no matter how long that hunt lasts.

What Would Expect From Red Wing Shoe

Finally, a boot that's Fits my size 4 1/2 wife. She loves them. Grew up in Red Wing, never owned anything but Red Wing Boots, Have three pair of Irish Setters myself. They do have a snug fit, but if you fit them correctly, your feet will love them and be warm too.
Not the quality!

I was very excited about my new boot purchase because I have had Irish Setters in the past and was extremely impressed the quality of the product... I purchased my new boots just prior to deer season of this year and I put many miles on them in tough, rocky, high desert country and was happy with them overall... then on the second day of elk season in the rain they fell apart on me, they had a tear down the side from the pressure of tightening my laces. So...great boots for light work but they didn't pass the rough country of Eastern Oregon. I will not be ordering this pair of boots again..

I haven't had much of a chance to wear them much lately (not bow season yet) but have worn around house to break in a bit. The only complaint I have is that they are a bit narrow. If you have to wear a wide is some brand shoes like I do, I would recommened getting this in wide. Otherwise a great fit and keeps my feet warm!

I have worn them hunting twice now. Both times the weather was cold. My feet stayed warm. The only problem I had at first was getting the boots on over my heavy socks. But, after I broke them in, buy putting them on and taking them off about four time, my feet slide into them just fine. I am very happy with these boots. I would recommend them to my friends.
